Hi, I’m Brandy Coward.

I am a Family Health Nurse Practitioner and co-founder of Auxilia Health, providing comprehensive, patient-centered care across the lifespan. My practice focuses on preventive care, chronic disease management, mental health support, and thoughtful clinical decision-making grounded in evidence-based medicine and real-world practicality.

I hold full prescriptive authority and approach treatment through careful assessment, shared decision-making, and a clear understanding of each patient’s medical history, goals, and social context. My clinical background includes primary care, emergency medicine, and acute care settings, allowing me to manage both routine and complex health concerns with confidence and precision.

In addition to clinical practice, I serve as the Director of Nursing at Angeles Institute in Artesia, California, where I oversee nursing education, clinical training, and regulatory compliance. This leadership role keeps my practice aligned with current standards, safety, and ethical care delivery.

I have additional training in public health nursing, which informs my holistic approach to care, recognizing the impact of environment, access, and prevention on long-term health outcomes. At Auxilia Health, care is built on trust, transparency, and empowering patients with the knowledge they need to make informed decisions about their health.

My Approach

My approach to care is collaborative, thoughtful, and grounded in respect. I take time to listen and understand the full picture, physical health, mental well-being, and the realities of daily life, so care feels supportive, not rushed or impersonal. I focus on practical, evidence-based care that meets patients where they are. For some, that means preventive care and education; for others, lifestyle changes, medication management, or coordinated support. Most often, meaningful progress comes from addressing both physical and mental health together in a way that feels manageable and sustainable. At Auxilia Health, the goal is to create a space where patients feel heard, safe, and empowered to take an active role in their health. Care is compassionate, honest, and designed to support long-term well-being beyond the appointment.
